The love-hate relationship between “The Voice” coaches Blake Shelton and Adam Levine is in full bore this season. And it’s providing late night talk show host Jimmy Fallon with a lot of new material for his next interview with Blake.

The pop-rock star sat down with Jimmy on March 14 and besides talking about Adam’s next project with Maroon 5, they took a little time to pick on Blake. “Everyone’s great,” Adam said, “Blake’s stupid.”

When Jimmy stepped up to defend his pal, Adam joked, “He lacks the very base level of intelligence.”

Of course, Adam was kidding, until he started talking about Blake’s thick Oklahoma accent. Even we have to admit, Blake has a pretty thick one. Adam recalled Blake and Jimmy’s hilarious sushi dinner, repeatedly saying “rice wine” with the country star’s exaggerated drawl. He then went on to talk about the way Blake pronounces the word “white,” drawing out the “h” in the word and giving it a breathy sound.

“It’s very aggressive and the ‘w-h’ is very pronounced,” he said.

Heck, we don’t even know how to describe it phonetically, it was so exaggerated. You’ll have to hear it for yourself.

In real life, Adam and Blake are good friends and possibly our generation’s Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis. Maybe they should go on tour together! Maybe Jimmy Fallon can make that happen.
