After ungoing emergency surgery for an undisclosed condition and being placed in a medically-induced coma, we are finally hearing good news about championship wrestler and WWE Hall of Famer “Nature Boy” Ric Flair.
In an interview with the WWE, Ric’s daughter, Charlotte Flair, who is also a professional wrestler, admitted that the time since her dad’s August 14 surgery has been “the hardest two weeks I’ve had. But man, my dad is a fighter,” she added.
The 68-year-old athlete, who retired from competing in the sport but transitioned into a role as a wrester manager, was born under the name Fred Phillips, and along with fellow wrestlers like Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant, stands as an icon in the sport.
Charlotte said that her dad “has a long road. I’m not saying that he’s going to be back next week strutting, but definitely the prayers and the positive vibes help. I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t think it was OK. So, everything’s looking good and this is where I belong and I’m glad to be back.”
A new generation of WWE superstars, including handsome hunks AJ Styles and John Cena, are now taking the ring and doing their best to establish careers as exemplary as their wrestling forefathers.
