A touching new interview reveals Rory Feek’s plans for life without Joey by his side

In the weeks and months since Joey Feek’s devastating cancer diagnosis, we have often wondered what is going to happen to Rory. When God calls Joey’s name, how will Rory react? Will he return to the home in which they began their love story? And will he ever sing again?

In a recent interview, Rory Feek gave us that answer.

“I have no desire to go on singing or performing without her,” Rory revealed in a recent exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight.

This crucial decision undoubtedly makes the release of their upcoming album “Hymns That Are Important To Us” that much more special for fans of the country duo.

“This is the last record that Joey and I will ever get to make and the last songs we’ll ever get to sing together,” says Rory of the album set for release on February 12.

And while the record will give fans the sweet harmonies of Joey+Rory music forevermore, it will even more importantly give their dear daughter Indiana a precious musical memento of her Mommy and Daddy.

“Her mama rocked her to sleep singing them and has even taught Indy how to sing along with sign language on ‘Jesus Loves Me,'” Rory says. “Joey singing these songs is a big part of Indy’s life so far, and I know that these songs will go on to be very important to her as she grows up and is able to hear Joey still singing them to her when we play the album.”
