Most of us are familiar with the expressions “Mama’s boy” and “Daddy’s girl,” but that doesn’t mean that mothers and daughters or fathers and sons can’t have equally loving and close relationships. Jason Aldean and wife Brittany are showing us that.
Since the birth of their first child together, Memphis Aldean Williams, on Dec. 1, the couple has been thoughtful but not overwhelming with sharing photos of their baby boy. In fact, Brittany even said she didn’t want to overshare with friends and fans. But if you’re like us and you can’t get enough of country music babies, you can see more of little Memphis in her Instagram stories.
And in an InstaStory, Brittany has shared a new image that has turned our hearts to goopy goodness.
It was apparently nap time for baby Memphis, but the little nugget, who will soon be 1 month old, didn’t seem too interested in catching some shut-eye. Dad, on the other hand, was all in.
Snuggled up with his arm protectively around his baby boy, Jason appears to be grabbing a quick 40 winks while Memphis keeps his eyes peeled for trouble. And trouble, if you can call it that, comes in the form of his gorgeous mom and her camera.
We still can’t get over how incredibly alert Memphis is at such a young age. During his newborn photo shoot, Brittany mentioned that the handsome baby boy slept much of the day, but we’ve seen some amazing pics of the youngster on their socials where he is wide-eyed and observing the world around him. Now, look at him just four weeks after his arrival!
Jason will have plenty of time to soak in these moments with his only son and to spend more time with his wife and daughters Keely and Kendyl while he enjoys a well-deserved respite from the road.
After a busy year on the super successful “They Don’t Know Tour” with Chris Young, Kane Brown and Dee Jay Silver, and that tragic show at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas, we feel certain that Jason’s voice, body and mind could use a little break.
Right now, his calendar isn’t showing any dates until April when fair and festival season kicks off, which leaves a few months that Jason could possibly be working on new music. He typically releases a new album every two years and it takes a little while to get songs written or selected, then to get into the studio, so this break could give him the time he needs to give us a follow-up to 2016’s “They Don’t Know,” which produced three No. 1 hits, in 2018.
But, you know, no pressure Jason.
