The world fell in love with Mary Sarah when she blew people away with her explosive voice as a contestant on season 10 of “The Voice.”

Mary Sarah was part of Team Blake during her tenure on the reality singing competition show. She consistently performed country music classics and hits, and she was a crowd favorite, who remained in the competition until the semi-finals when she was eliminated.

She made her Grand Ole Opry debut in May and her rendition of the Randy Travis classic “I Told You So” was a Top 30 country hit.

But prior to that, she was already making noise in Nashville.

In fact, in 2014 she released the album “Bridges,” a collection of duets with some of country music’s greatest legends like Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, the late Merle Haggard and Tanya Tucker. Before even that — way before that — sweet and petite Mary Sarah was touring the Red Dirt region dazzling fans with her passionate voice and effervescent stage presence.

So today, we’re rolling back the calendar to when this promising young country star was just 16 years old covering Dolly Parton’s “Jolene.”
