Kelsea Ballerini isn’t afraid to stand up to bullies, especially when it comes to protecting her own musical talents. So when one Twitter user tried to take a shot at her singing voice, she fired back with the perfect response.

The exchange took place on Aug. 10, while the 23-year-old country star was tweeting out to her fans about her upcoming album.

In between those conversations, the Twitter troll rudely chimed in with, “@KelseaBallerini might just be the worst singer I’ve ever heard live in my life … Bad!!!!!!”

Kelsea, who is currently an opener for Lady Antebellum’s “You Look Good Tour,” then replied, “Is this really necessary? Be nice. Or don’t show up early if you don’t want to see the opener. 🤷🏼.”

Fans who witnessed the brief spat were quick to side with the “Peter Pan” singer over the troll’s senseless tweet.

One fan commented, “Haters gonna hate. We all know you’re a superstar whose gonna be headlining arenas in the very near future. 🎸🎶💃🏼🤘🏼.”

Another fan wrote, “RUDE! Don’t listen to him! You’re perfect just the way you are and sound amazing!💕😊.”

Of course, Kelsea has more on her mind these days than worrying about the haters. In addition to planning her wedding, she will soon release her second album, “Unapologetically.” The 12-track set, which is now available for pre-order, comes with instant downloads of two tracks, “Unapologetically” and “Legends.” “Unapologetically” will be released on Nov. 3.
