Craig Morgan lost his teenage son, Jerry, just over a year ago in a boating accident. He’s understandably been pretty quiet about his son’s passing, but Craig is now opening up about Jerry on the season finale of his Outdoor Channel series, “Craig Morgan: All Access Outdoors.”

In a preview clip from the show, Craig gets emotional as he says, “Of all the things that we’ve done this year on ‘All Access Outdoors,’ this is, by far, the most difficult for me to do, because I’m discussing my son, someone that I love so much, who’s not here with us anymore.”

Viewers of “All Access Outdoors” got to know Jerry over the years through his many appearances on the show.

Craig continues, “Of all my children, Jerry was probably with me more than any throughout the years on the show. He loved the outdoors. Jerry’s favorite things were, first and foremost family, then his friends, and then the outdoors. The outdoors includes sports. He was a very avid football player, basketball player and athlete.”

That bond between father and son helped them make a lot of memories during Jerry’s too-brief life.

Craig recalls, “He was super-passionate about the outdoors, which was wonderful for me because I got to spend so much of my life and the experiences that I get to partake in with Jerry.”

You can see the full “Craig Morgan: All Access Outdoors” season finale this Monday, October 2 at 5:30 p.m. ET on The Outdoor Channel.
