Little Big Town’s Kimberly Schlapman and Karen Fairchild co-hosted CBS’ “The Talk” on July 10.

While on the show, Kimberly opened up about finding love again after being faced with the untimely death of her first husband back in 2005.

The conversation began after the show’s co-host, Julie Chen, brought up the controversy surrounding the recent engagement of comedian Patton Oswald, whose wife, Michelle McNamara, passed away in April of 2016.

For those who aren’t familiar with the story, Patton proposed to actress Meredith Salenger 15 months after his wife’s death. He has since faced harsh criticism from social media users who believe he moved on too quickly.

Kimberly, who can relate to Patton’s story, let her fans know that she supports him, and believes it was a higher power that brought her and her current husband, Stephen, together.

“I can speak personally to this,” the seemingly teary-eyed star, and loving mother explained. “I was married for 14 years to a wonderful man, and he passed away. Then, nine months later, I began a spark with an old friend.”

“One hundred percent I am so sure of this: my new husband was sent to me from heaven from my late husband,” she continued. “I feel like he was up there saying, ‘She needs somebody to love her and to give her a baby too, because she’s wanted a baby so much.’”

Regardless of whether Kimberly and Stephen’s relationship had something to do with the man above, it’s clear that she is so happy. She only hopes that Patton will get to experience that same kind of joy, too.

“Patton, I wish you the greatest love and healing, and I’m so happy for you,” she said.
