If you’ve been following along with this season’s “America’s Got Talent,” then you, along with the rest of the world, have likely fallen in love with little Angelica Hale. The 10-year-old with a voice that belies her diminutive size is stealing hearts right and left, including that of country singer-songwriter Cole Swindell.
The pair first met last year on the red carpet for the Miss America pageant, where Cole served as a judge. And apparently, there was mutual … well, smittenness.

So when Angelica showed up at a recent Cole show, the country star rolled out the red carpet for his new friend. And to say she was delighted with the hospitality would be an understatement.
In a new episode of his web series, “Swindell Vision,” Cole explained that he was impressed by Angelica’s voice, but more than that, he says, “I was more impressed with her as a person. and she’s just a kid.”
You have to remind yourself of that, though. Although she squeals with the excitement of a little girl when Cole steps off of his bus to greet her, her conversation with the star and members of his band is poised, gracious and seems much more mature than you’d expect from a tween.

And her sweet, positive spirit is intoxicating.
Pretty remarkable considering that, at the age of four, a bad case of strep evolved into double pneumonia that was so extreme it caused multiple organ failure. At the age of six, Angelica underwent a kidney transplant.
Good luck, Angelica! We’re watching!
