If you’re like us, and you don’t live anywhere near a beach, then perhaps you’ve daydreamed of being seaside. Maybe you’ve imagined spending your mornings out by the ocean, where you get to watch the sunrise and hear the waves crashing at the same time. Heck, you might have even fantasized about swimming in the clear blue waters, running your toes through the golden sand or inviting your friends over to play a game of beach ball.
Oh, the possibilities!
Well, it turns out that one lucky person possessing a hefty sum of $5.9 million will get to do all of the above. That is, if they choose to use their cash to buy the stunning Florida beach house formerly owned by the late country music icon Tammy Wynette!
Yep, you read that right.
The jaw-dropping, 6,400-square-foot spread that once belonged to the music legend is on the market, and it’s quite luxurious. According to Local10, the dream home, located at 241 Ocean Drive in Jupiter Inlet Colony, Florida, boasts six bedrooms, and seven bathrooms. Built in 1972, the mansion still maintains its unique floor plan, which centers the property around a covered pool.
In the YouTube clip below, you’ll find that interior features of the home include spacious rooms, vaulted ceilings and a gourmet kitchen with beautiful granite countertops. The indoor pool can also be seen from a corner office of the home – you know, just in case you need a break from your work. If that’s not enough, the living room area also features humongous sliding glass doors that offer a breathtaking ocean view.
When you walk up to the property, you’ll be greeted by a stunning gated entrance with five spaces to park, in case you happen to own that many cars! You will also be amazed by the well-kept landscape surrounding the property, which includes well cared for palm trees and beautiful shrubs. Finally, a private walkway to the beach will make you feel like you’re in paradise! Now, who wouldn’t want that?
Tammy, who is known for songs like “Stand by Your Man,” “’Til I Can Make It on My Own,” and “I Don’t Wanna Play House,” purchased the beachside home, after her “D-I-V-O-R-C-E” from fellow country legend George Jones. She owned the property from 1976 to 1981, and then sold it for $625,000. According to platprops.com, the mansion was last listed at $7 million before it was reduced to its current asking price of $5.9 million.
So, would you like to live here?
