Sunday, Oct. 8 wasn’t the best day for Kyle Busch — both on and off the track.

His trouble began on the track at Charlotte Motor Speedway. He hit the wall multiple times throughout the race, but continued to come back in the hopes of completing the race, as NASCAR fans know that he finds himself in the middle of a heated playoffs battle at the moment. But things got downright scary after the race, when Kyle collapsed at the conclusion and needed to go to the infield care center for much-needed fluids after the hot and challenging run.

Shortly afterward, Kyle’s wife, Samantha, headed to her Twitter to update fans on her husband’s condition.

“In care center Kyle getting oxygen and cooled down. Says he feels better. He is talking to Coach now,” she wrote.

Hours later, Samantha showed a pic of her and her visibly exhausted husband and gave fans another update. “Thanks so much for all the sweet messages checking in on Kyle,” she wrote. “He is feeling much better now after getting cooled down [with] ice, also needed oxygen and fluids. Proud of him for fighting hard to get every point he could!”

Here’s to a little bit of rest and recuperation, Kyle!
