OK, sure – NASCAR fans are set to tune into the Daytona 500 on Feb. 18 to check out the intense competition, scary crashes and insanely fast pit stops.

Yet, if they are being truthful, they will also be tuning in to check out some good ol’ love stories.

You see, with the popularity of social media among NASCAR drivers and their respective wives and girlfriends, fans find themselves smack dab in the middle of some incredible love stories going into the upcoming season. And one of the love stories that has garnered much attention as of late is certainly the budding romance between Danica Patrick and boyfriend Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers.

So, will Aaron be there at the race on the starting grid giving Danica a nice peck on the cheek for good luck on Sunday before she drives in her final NASCAR race of her career?

Well, that answer looks to be yes.

“I’m actually just excited that he gets to see what I do,” Danica said in an interview with ESPN on Feb. 14 during NASCAR’s Daytona 500 media day. “He’ll get to see me in my [driver] suit. I’ve never seen him in his uniform [to play] in person.”

Of course, this also ups the ante on some potentially awkward moments come race time, as Aaron might just find himself rubbing shoulders with none other than Danica’s ex-love and fellow NASCAR driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Fans will recall that Danica and Ricky confirmed in December of 2017 that they had broken up after a much-publicized nearly five year relationship.

So yes, this new love story has us looking forward to much more than just how fast the cars will be going around the track on Sunday. Instead, we also might want to keep an eye as to how fast Aaron can run to victory lane if his lady can find a way to come home with the checkered flag.

Of course, there was one other question for Danica about Aaron on race day – will he and Daytona pace car driver and fellow football great Peyton Manning throw a few passes to one another before those engines rev up?

“I highly doubt it,” Danica said with a laugh.
