Retiring NASCAR driver Danica Patrick and NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers make quite a dashing power couple. The two stepped out for their first official public appearance as boyfriend and girlfriend this week at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am golf tournament on California’s Central Coast.

TMZ has the photo of the the couple, who they’re calling “Aaronica.” In the shot, they’re both looking pretty casual and wearing sunglasses. They appear to be very comfortable with each other, and it looks like they could be just any other couple hanging out. However, this couple is made up of two of the most celebrated athletes in the country.

Since keeping in shape is a job requirement for both Danica and Aaron, it’s no surprise they’ve bonded over working out. Danica has a new fitness book titled “Pretty Intense,” and she’s been putting Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron through the wringer with her routines.

During her recent interview on Joe Rogan’s podcast, “For the Win,” which was reported on by CBS Sports, Danica said, “We worked out together and things like that. Put him through some ab workouts.”

Danica and Aaron apparently share several common interests. Of course, they both like to win since they’re both major figures in competitive sports, but the connection runs deeper than that.

Danica told Joe Rogan they both love “visiting with friends, playing games and bonding over the books [they] like to read.”

This isn’t the first high-profile romance for either Danica or Aaron, either. She parted ways with her former love, fellow NASCAR driver Ricky Steinhouse Jr., late last year. Aaron was in a long-term relationship with actress Olivia Munn that ended in April 2017. So, they both know how to navigate pursuing a relationship while being in the public eye.

The new couple started off as casual friends after meeting at the 2012 ESPYs. The’d see each other in passing, but the sparks didn’t start flying until recently.

Danica says, “We’ve just been sort of friends the whole time, kept in vague touch and seen each other at the ESPYs almost every year, and other places. So one thing led to another, and we realized how similar we were, and yeah, that got the ball rolling.”

The couple was spotted out for the first time while  having dinner together in Scottsdale, Arizona, in January. We’re eager to see if Aaron is on hand when Danica competes in her final NASCAR race at this year’s Daytona 500 on Feb. 18. It’s definitely going to be a milestone day.
