When you are a big time NASCAR superstar, chances are you have had plenty of opportunities to brush shoulders with some well-known stars.

But hanging out with past presidents?

Well, that just raises the coolness factor.

And it’s exactly what Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his beautiful wife Amy got to do recently, as Dale got himself all cleaned up and shared on his Instagram page pics of the couple with past presidents Jimmy Carter and George W. Bush. “Got to say hello to President Carter and President Bush today,” Dale wrote nonchalantly alongside the two pictures.

The opportunity came at the recent opening of the Wonders of Nightlife National Museum and Aquarium in Springfield, Missouri. Dale and Amy joined fellow stars including Kevin Costner and country superstar Dierks Bentley for “a coat-and-tie gala for conservation leaders and invited guests,” according to an article in the Springfield News-Leader. The gala opening of the new venue also honored former president George H. W. Bush.

This weekend, Dale Jr. will put his hobnobbing days behind him and head back to the track, as NASCAR heads to New Hampshire Motor Speedway on September 24 for the ISM Connect 300.
