A NASCAR superstar’s family is celebrating the birth of a baby girl Instagram/KevinHarvick

NASCAR superstar Kevin Harvick may have not come home with a championship in 2017, but he is about to come home to something a thousand times better — a new baby.

Kevin Harvick and his wife, DeLana, are celebrating the Dec. 28 birth of their baby girl, Piper Grace! The adorable little one joins Kevin and DeLana’s 5-year-old son Keelan in the Harvick household.

“Miss Piper Grace joined the gang Thursday night,” Kevin wrote on his Instagram page on Dec. 30 alongside a beautiful pic of him with his two children. “Everyone is healthy and we have an extremely excited big brother!”

While DeLana has yet to announce the birth on her active social media channels, she was last on her Twitter page on Dec. 26, when she amusingly asked fans if a baby could actually do real damage when kicking her mama’s rib cage. Luckily it sounds like all the pain has now gone away with the birth of her first baby girl!

And as anyone who follows NASCAR knows, little Piper Grace is a lucky girl to have Keelan as a big brother. A constant presence up and down pit road with his father, Keelan was over the moon back in July when he was given the big responsibility of telling the world about the impending birth of his baby sister.

“I’m going to have a baby sister,” Keelan said on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio’s “Happy Hours” program, co-hosted by his daddy Kevin and Matt Yocum.

“Keelan obviously broke the news tonight,” said the elder Harvick, the 2014 champion of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series.

While DeLana has been relatively quiet on her socials in terms of sharing pics of her growing belly, Kevin told NBCSN back in November how the pregnancy was going. “She’s doing great,” Kevin said in an interview at the NASCAR championship award ceremony in Vegas. “I think the hardest thing for DeLana is just flying across the country in the airplane. It makes her ankles not look like ankles. She opted to stay home, which I don’t blame her [for,] and she is doing good. The main thing is that she hasn’t had the baby while I was out here, so it would be a little bit of a challenge to get home in time. So it’s fun as long as she can wait till the morning. Hopefully we will have a baby in the new year.”

The statement shocked the interviewer, since the due date hadn’t been released at that time.

“She had Keelan three weeks early and she is due Jan. 5,” Kevin added. “So starting next week we are in show time.”

We wish Kevin, DeLana and Keelan all the good wishes we can muster! Enjoy every moment!
