No matter how the season ends for NASCAR superstar driver Joey Logano, there is one thing for sure – he’s going to get quite the trophy come January, when his first baby with wife Brittany is due.
Yet the couple, who are incredibly active in their Chasing Second Chances foundation for kids, recently shared that the race to become new parents was a rough one, as Brittany was diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome when the two were just newlyweds. “We are fighters,” Brittany said in a new interview with NBC (which you can view above). “I thought, ‘We are going to have a kid, even if it it’s not going to happen the way we want it to.’ I’m fine adopting. He’s fine adopting, because there are so many kids out there without homes.”
Indeed, as the couple proceeded with in vitro fertilization, that continued to have their share of challenges. “It feels like the end of the world, but it’s not,” Brittany said of that time in their lives.
“God puts you in situation like that to keep your life in perspective,” adds Joey about their baby on the way. “He’s going to be born into this awesomeness.”
We can’t wait to meet Baby Boy Logano, that’s for sure!
