Back in 2016, millions of moms discovered the words of a song called “Slow Down,” a heart-wrenching piece of music telling the story of a parent watching their children grow up before their very eyes and wishing deep down inside that they wouldn’t be in such a hurry.

The video for the viral hit received 23 million views.

Since then, the song has remained a special one to countless parents looking for a good ol’ cry. But now, it’s time to get out the tissues again.

Award winning singer/songwriter Nichole Nordeman just released her fifth full length album, “Every Mile Mattered,” and with it, a brand new recording of “Slow Down.”

And this time she sings it with her own daughter, Pepper Ingram!

Take a moment to get those tissues, because you are going to need them.

And if that wasn’t enough, there is also a book of the same title set to come out August 22. “Nichole’s beautiful song ‘Slow Down’ connected with so many of us so deeply and so immediately because she says what we all want to say and she makes us feel less alone and less crazy for feeling those things,” author Shauna Niequist says in the foreword of the book.
