Luke Bryan won’t release his new album for a few more days, but that hasn’t stopped him from sharing a couple of tracks with the fans ahead of time.
The country music superstar and Rare Country Awards nominee has already given us a taste of the forthcoming project with its lead single, “Light It Up.” Now, he has dropped another sexy song that is guaranteed to make women everywhere swoon.
In the new tune, called “Out Of Nowhere Girl,” Luke channels his sultry side. He croons over a mystery woman, and singles her out while at a party that’s presumably outdoors. He can’t help but find himself completely smitten over this nameless stranger, and requests a dance with her before offering to take her out on the town to show her around.
“My little light out of nowhere girl / Where you been all my life? / Where you been trying to hide? / It’s like you come / Come from another world / Fell right out of the sky / And landed right here tonight,” Luke sings in his distinctive voice, while accompanied by the pop-country backings of banjo, guitar, and various electronic elements. “Do you wanna dance with me? / Any way you gotta be / Do you wanna go somewhere my little out of nowhere girl / My out of nowhere girl.”
In reality, Luke, doesn’t have to worry about impressing a mystery girl, because he’s happily married to Caroline Boyer, his wife of more than 10 years. And the proof is in the picture, because he just posted the sweetest holiday-themed photo on Twitter showing the two lovebirds in matching ugly Christmas sweaters posing in front of a lit and decorated tree. The sweater, by the way, features images of Luke and Santa Claus, and hilariously comes with an attached bottle opener at the neckline.
Luke, who is set to be a judge on the upcoming “American Idol” reboot, co-wrote “Out Of Nowhere Girl” with lauded songwriters Dallas Davidson and Ashley Gorley. (He is also responsible for co-writing seven other tracks on the record.) The tune is sequences as the second track on “What Makes You Country,” which is due out Friday, Dec. 8.
Fans should be happy to know that they’ll be able to hear many of the tunes from the 15-track album live when the new year hits, because Luke will head out on the first leg of his “What Makes You Country Tour “in 2018. The trek begins on Feb. 16 in Springfield, Missouri, and will run through the fall of next year. Check out Luke’s official website for upcoming tour dates.
But, before 2018 rolls around, Luke has a few more big moments to experience. He is currently in the running for three awards in this year’s Rare Country Awards. He is up for Tour of the Year, Fan Moment of the Year and Male Artist of the Year, and it’s up to you to decide the winners. Vote now through Dec. 13 at RareCountryAwards.com. Winners will be revealed during a livestreamed concert event on Dec. 14 in Nashville.
