Just when we thought “1994” was Jason Aldean’s year of choice in the 1990s, he steps up to perform the 1993 smash “Can’t Break It to My Heart” with the song’s original performer, the legendary Tracy Lawrence. And he pretty much nails it.

Actually, he absolutely nails it.

Tracy teased fans on Twitter with a short clip of the tune, but you can hear the whole song on Spotify in advance of the November 10 release of his new album, “Good Ole Days.” And we’ve just gotta say, Jason and Tracy sound GOOD together!

Jason isn’t the only contemporary country star to collaborate with Tracy for this amazing project. Tracy’s good buddy Tim McGraw is also on the project performing “Time Marches On,” and Luke Bryan performs “Sticks and Stones.” Justin Moore, Chris Young and Easton Corbin are among the other guests on this special album.

Tracy was a major player in ’90s country music. His debut single, “Sticks and Stones,” skyrocketed to the top of the charts in just two months. Of the 20 singles he released to radio from 1991 to 1997, only one failed to break the Top 10 and seven were No. 1s. In 2007, Tracy scored an eighth No. 1 with Tim and their other pal Kenny Chesney with “Find Out Who Your Friends Are.”
