A songwriter’s ideas can come from anywhere, but one of our favorite sources of inspiration is love. It sounds like singer-songwriter Morgan Evans, the new husband of Kelsea Ballerini, has most definitely been inspired!

The native Aussie released a new song and provided a teaser of it on his Instagram page. He also explains how every step of their relationship brought that song, titled “I Do,” to fruition. Morgan writes, “Wrote it about my girlfriend. Recorded it about my fiancée. Releasing it about my wife. #IDo.”

And we have just been overcome by a case of the happys. ☺️

Come on, y’all! Time to incorporate this happy future hit about big love into your 2018 wedding plans!

Now, we realize a lot of you are just getting to know handsome Morgan, so we did a little sleuthing to get some intel on this talented young man.

While we consider both gentlemen Australian, Keith Urban was a born and spent his youth in New Zealand. Morgan was born in Australia. And neither sings with that awesome accent, dang it.

And though Morgan may be relatively new to the United States music scene, in 2016 the Country Music Association named him its CMA Global Artist of the Year, so he was bound to come to Nashville. He has also been winning Country Music Channel Awards — Australia’s music television channel — since 2013, including New Artist, Artist of the Year and Male Artist twice. In fact, it was at that award show that Kelsea and Morgan met in March of 2016.

Morgan released a couple of EPs and an album in Australia, so if you can get your hands on any of those, you’ve found something special. None appear to be available on iTunes or Spotify.

In May of this year Morgan signed an American record deal with Warner Music, released his first single, “Kiss Somebody,” and spent a good bit of the year visiting radio and promoting his new song. Next year though, he hits the road with Cole Swindell in January for the “Down Home Tour,” then goes out with Chris Young for the “Losing Sleep Tour” in April.
