Scotty McCreery fans have been patiently waiting for their guy to release a new album, particularly after he signed with a new record label earlier this year, so there was much excitement among the McCreerians when he posted about the project on Dec. 9.

Scotty tweeted while on an airplane saying, “Third time listening thru my new record on this 4.5 hour flight home. I’m so fired up for y’all to hear this thing!”

One fan said Scotty has been telling them new music is coming “soon” for at least two years now. He agreed, but replied, “Can [probably] say at least some sort of new music will be out in a month or so.”

Fans going to see Scotty’s shows through the remainder of this year and into next can expect to hear some of the new music as well.

We caught up with Scotty last month and asked him how he knew this album was truly finished. After all, he’s been writing and recording the project for so long now.

Scotty tells Rare Country, “They sent me the mixes, and I said, ‘Well, that sounds like a record.’ Yeah, we’ll probably have a tweak here, a tweak there, but as far as the songs being recorded and ready to go, we could release it tomorrow.”

That’s definitely exciting news!

Scotty’s fiancée, Gabi, has been lucky enough to hear her man’s music every step of the way. The song he wrote for their engagement is definitely her favorite of the new batch.

Gabi tells us, “He did write one for me. So, I really like that one.”

We can’t wait to hear it!
