Jason Aldean and his wife, Brittany, are preparing for diaper duty once their baby boy arrives later this year. One of the ways they’re getting ready for their human baby is making sure their new fur baby is fully potty trained. Their French Bulldog puppy, Boss, is proving to be a little challenged when it comes to getting with the potty training program.
Jason tells Rare Country, “I think that’s harder than having a kid is trying to potty train a dog. I’d like to say he’s getting better, but he’s really not. He’s probably about six months old now. Little French Bulldog. He’s a handful. He’s very energetic, and he’s sometimes not the smartest dog in the world.”
Dealing with Boss’s little messes keeps Jason humble, though. We shot this interview with the country superstar just before he hosted a party in Nashville to celebrate his three most recent No. 1 hits. That made this pre-party confession even more hilarious.
“I cleaned up some stuff before I came here today, so he obviously doesn’t have it figured out yet,” Jason said with a big smile. “Don’t want to get too ahead of myself and think I’m a big deal. Got to go home and pick up some dog crap.”
Way to keep it real, Jason! Winning ACM Entertainer of the Year two years in a row hasn’t changed you one bit!
