Garth Brooks is enjoying his biggest hit in more than a decade with “Ask Me How I Know,” and this powerhouse performance of the song will show you why fans are connecting with it in such a huge way.
Garth took over “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Nov. 20 to deliver the song, which has become a high point of his live shows in the last few months. Just look at how intensely Garth performs the lyrics about the regret you feel when you let a good love slip away due to foolish pride.
As for the success of the song, Garth tells Rare Country, “It’s very sweet. I can’t thank country radio enough for giving it a chance.”
With that, Garth is quick to shine the spotlight on the writer of “Ask Me How I Know.”
He says, “Mitch Rossell, the writer, all of his stuff is like this. It doesn’t burn. It feels great and you can’t get it out of your head. Sweet kid.”
Mitch has joined Garth on the road for most of this year as an opening act on “The Garth Brooks World Tour featuring Trisha Yearwood.” That trek is up for Tour of the Year at the Rare Country Awards. Garth is also nominated for Fan Moment of the Year for that unforgettable baby gender reveal in which he offered to pay for the child’s college education. Vote now through Dec. 13 at RareCountryAwards.com. Winners will be revealed during a livestreamed concert event on Dec. 14 in Nashville.
