Chris Young will mark a big item off his bucket list Sept. 22 when he headlines Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on his current “Losing Sleep World Tour.” It won’t be the first time he’s performed in that venue, but it will be the first time his name is the top one listed on the ticket.
Since Chris grew up in Middle Tennessee, he’s dreamed of playing his own show at Music City’s big arena ever since it opened in the mid-’90s. He can’t count the number of concerts he’s seen at Bridgestone Arena, either.
Chris tells Rare Country, “I’ve been in that building before for other artists — to watch them play. I’ve been able to open for them there. Hockey games, all kinds of stuff. To be able to have my own show there is just really special. Bring it back home.”
Now it looks like he’s going to be playing for a packed house when he finally steps onstage at Bridgestone Arena as a headliner.
He says, “It’s selling like crazy, and it’s not even until September. It’s going to be a little bit of a pain, because I have to wait ’til then to actually get to do it, but it’s going to be such an incredible night.”
