Despite all of the hustle and bustle happening surrounding country superstar Brantley Gilbert on July 23 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway — where the newly-branded Brantley Gilbert Big Machine Brickyard 400 bore his name and featured his headlining performance — he couldn’t help but simply act like a doting daddy.
“This is the baby’s first NASCAR race,” Brantley told Rare Country, lovingly touching pregnant wife Amber’s growing belly. “I’m convinced he can already hear,” he said of his son. “Honestly, I think he can hear me. I talk to him a lot and he seems to move when I talk. He will definitely be able to hear these cars, which I’m sure will put the love of racing in his DNA, too.”
While Brantley admittedly has his hands full with touring and a new single, “The Ones Who Like Me,” it’s obvious that he can’t get his baby off of his mind these days.
“I think it kind of gets on Amber’s nerves,” Brantley tells us, while looking adoringly at Amber yet again. “She will wake up at night and I will have my hand on her belly and she’s as hot as all get out already and then I’m trying to probe her to find where the baby is at so I can feel it move.”
Amber might disagree, but we think that’s pretty sweet!
