Country starlet in the making Carly Pearce prides herself on being … herself. She plays the sort of country music that her idols such as Trisha Yearwood, Faith Hill and Sara Evans launched their careers with, and refuses to play the game where she pretends to be someone other than herself in order to succeed within this often soul-crushing industry.

And it’s working.

Not only did her single, “Every Little Thing,” make it into the top 20 alongside of the guys of country, but her raw and subtle yet sexy video for the hit is getting the attention of many.

“’Every Little Thing’ was a true story and I lived it,” Carly told Rare Country during a recent interview. “If I was going to get that transparent with the lyrics, I wanted to get that transparent visually and tell my story. The glitz and the glamour is fun, but I want people to really listen to my music and listen to the song and not get all wrapped up in the production of it. It was raw and real. There was not a lot of makeup and not a lot of hair. We did it very simply and made it as real as we could, and I feel like that’s why people are connecting to me.”
