They totally killed it onstage together!

Maren and Niall started off their joint performance with a mini version of “I Could Use A Love Song” from her debut “Hero” album. Maren, who was nominated for three of the night’s awards, including Female Vocalist of the Year, looked glam in a bob and tiered, purple bohemian dress.

She nailed the all of the notes of her poignant ballad while Niall stood beside her armed with an acoustic guitar.

After delivering the heartfelt chorus, the two impressed the country crowd with their new duet song, “Seeing Blind,” which is featured on Niall’s debut solo album “Flicker.” The One Direction member turned solo artist took the lead, showcasing his strong vocals on the tune, while his duet partner snapped her fingers along to the beat. Maren then made vocal magic by blending her powerful pipes with Niall’s.

While these two stars might seem like an unlikely pairing, they will actually come together again in 2018, to tour the country on Niall’s upcoming “Flicker World” trek. So, their performance at the CMAs made for a good of introduction of what’s to come!
