Rory Feek learns to lean on the love of others during the most difficult of times Facebook/Joey+Rory

Sometimes when someone leaves the world, silence fills the air.

With Joey being gone, Rory may have heard that silence, but with the help of God?s good graces, he has now been given the gift of a new sound.

And that sound is laughter.

It was something that?s been missing ever since his wife?s death, but on April 14, Rory shared a post called “The Best Medicine” on his blog ?This Life I Live? to let the world know that he?s finally smiling again — thanks to a few good friends who happened to have just the right medicine.

On a bright and early morning once a week, Rory meets up with his support system, which just so happens to be located on the front porch of his neighbor Gabe?s farmhouse. Gabe is just one in a group of married men that has offered Rory a shoulder to lean on during his painful mourning.

They chat. Drink coffee. Share stories. And ponder life.

But most of all, they laugh.

?Some men are Catholic, some attend a Church of Christ or Baptist church or somewhere else, but they all share something in common? they all love God. And they love their wives and want to be better fathers and men,? writes Rory.

And, its clear Rory loved Joey. And while the power of healing is so vibrant on him these days, we can only think that Joey is looking on and leaving hints of laughter through the sunrays that peek through the clouds as Rory watches the yellow star come up over the farm.
