In the new music video for his song, “Bittersweet Company,” singer-songwriter Kip Moore doesn’t go too far out of his real-life role as a musician. In it, he plays a guitar-toting hitchhiker who is still reminiscing over a romance that didn’t quite work out.
“We were summer / love was burning / We were white magnolias in bloom / By the time the leaves had fallen / I had already fallen for you,” Kip sings, while riding around in the back seat of a red convertible with the top down.
Meanwhile, a mystery brunette with dark sunglasses and torn jeans chauffeurs him through the back country. She also offers an ear to Kip while he spills his feelings out about his old flame. Though the two seem to be enjoying each other’s company throughout the journey, in the end, they say goodbye, and the stunning woman drives off.
“Bittersweet Company,” which Kip wrote with songwriters Josh Miller and Troy Verges, is set to appear on his upcoming third studio album, “Slowheart.” The album is due out Sept. 8.
This coming fall, Kip will hit the road for his “Plead The Fifth Tour.” The tour, which begins on October 19, features opening acts Drake White and Jordan Davis. Watch the video above to see Kip’s take on a sexy hitchhiker in “Bittersweet Company.”
