Here at Rare Country, we love a good “Flashback Friday” moment, and this one is really, really sweet.

Back in 2011, Scotty McCreery was just a young guy with a dream coming off an “American Idol” win with a new song called “The Trouble With Girls,” his second single.

It’s hard to imagine how any high schooler as adorable and sweet as Scotty could have any trouble with girls, especially with that voice, but we digress …

In the single’s video, Scotty walks the halls of his high school with his guy and girl friends, and just like typical teenagers you can see the sparks starting to fly among the friend group.

And if you look carefully at the scene where they gather in science class, you’ll notice a very familiar face playing Scotty’s lab partner: his now fiancée Gabi Dugal.

They were just babies then, y’all!

But you can tell by the way they look at each other that true love was blossoming, even way back then.

And now, Scotty and Gabi are engaged and planning their future.
