He has one of the finest voices and one of the most creative minds in country music. Lee Brice has melted our hearts with soulful performances of heartwarming ballads and has boosted our cold beers in the air with his raucous party songs. We’ve even pounded our chests with his blue collar anthems. But with his newest song, “I Don’t Smoke,” Lee gets a little jangly with this “no getting over you” romp.

It messes with your mind a little bit because both the arrangement and the production are foot-stomping fun and gospel goodness, but that message is straight-up loss.

Heck, even the video that Lee just released for the song is kinda fun!

And you know what? We dig it. A lot.

“I Don’t Smoke” is just one of the hot tracks on Lee’s upcoming self-titled album, set to drop on Nov. 3. We aren’t sure yet if it is a single, but it sure sounds like it could be. We do know that the first single off the project, “Boy,” was a special heart-tugging tribute to his sons Takoda and Ryder. We haven’t heard if his little girl Trulee has a song on the album yet, but at not quite five months old she’s still pretty new, so that might be the next album.
