Dogs are about as synonymous with country music as pickup trucks and cowboy boots, and thanks to social media, we’ve gotten to know some of our favorite celebrity’s doggos. Heck, some of them even have their own Twitter and Instagram pages. Because of that, we’ve grown attached to a few of these four-legged fur babies. So in this edition of Rare Country’s 5, we’re throwing a bone to five of our favorite pupsters!

Good things come in pairs and Thomas Rhett and his family have a pair of pups that we’d all love to give belly scratches to. Cash came first shortly after T-Rhett and Lauren tied the knot, then Kona arrived. The pair of Louisiana Catahoulas could have been pivotal in training the country star and his bride on parenting since, after they reached adulthood, daughters Willa Gray and Ada James were added to the family. And so far, so good with the humans, too!

One of the hottest doggos in the world of country music has to be Edgar Boogie Eldredge, though. Owned by handsome Brett Eldredge, we’ve watched everything from then-puppy Edgar being carried onstage in a harness much like a Baby Bjorn, to being serenaded sweetly by his talented pops, to even sporting a bow tie for those formal affairs like the CMA Awards.

Edgar hasn’t always been so agreeable to Brett’s shenanigans, but he’s grown from a rambunctious pup to a doggo living the sweet life, so he appears to choose his battles these days.

We can’t think of a country star that doesn’t have a Bowser, Fido, Spot or Rover in their life, and we’re so fond of these lovable animals, it’s hard to narrow the list down. So take a peek at the rest of our list in this new Rare Country’s 5 video and make sure to share who your favorite country canine is in the comments.

Also be sure to check back later in the week when we have more of the news and fun from in and around country music in Rare Country’s 5.
