The six-song project is produced by Jason Aldean and his longtime bandmates Kurt Allison and Tully Kenned. “This is the first project I’ve co-wrote all the songs on, so this is a big step in my career for me,” Farr says in a press release. “I’m so proud of this album and hope fans will really get a chance to hear what I’m all about.”

“I’m damn PUMPED to announce my new EP Rednecks Like Me will be out July 14,” the singer adds on Instagram. “This one is full of songs I’m real proud of and that I co-wrote with some great songwriters in Nashville. Can’t wait for you to hear it all.”

Farr is signed to Aldean’s Night Train Records, an imprint of his label Broken Bow Records. His first release on the label was the 2020 EP, Only Truck in Town. Farr’s last album was Suffer in Peace, released in 2015, preceded by his 2013 debut, Redneck Crazy. Named after his hit song of the same name, Redneck Crazy also featured “Whiskey in My Water,” which reached No. 1 on country radio. Suffer in Peace includes “A Guy Walks Into a Bar,” which became his first No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. Both albums peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.

“‘Rednecks Like Me’ is very dear to my heart and I love it for the simple fact that I wrote it for basically what I believe in – which is God, family, friends and freedom,” Farr said upon releasing the title track of the new album in May 2023.
