Garth Brooks has always been able to rock the big arenas, as he and wife Trisha Yearwood are proving night after night on their crowd-pleasing “World Tour,” camping out for long runs of dates in certain cities and sometimes even playing two shows in the same day to meet demand. Those high-energy shows helped Garth earn his second consecutive (and sixth overall) CMA Entertainer of the Year award on Nov. 8.
In October, the sold their six millionth ticket for the tour, making it the biggest North American tour in history. Along the way, the tour has broken venue ticket sales records previously set by the Beatles, the Rolling Stones and even Garth himself.
The tour is now in its third year, and while the country superstar couple will wrap the current leg of it back at home in Nashville in mid-December, an international leg is expected to kick off in 2018.
Garth and Trisha are now nominated for Tour of the Year in the Rare Country Awards, and it’s up to you to decide the winner. Voting begins Nov. 13 at RareCountryAwards.com and runs until Dec. 13. Winners will be revealed during a livestreamed concert on Dec. 14.
