Miley Cyrus embraced her country roots all season long on “The Voice.” While coaching on the show’s 13th season, she made sure to share her appreciation for her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, her godmother, Dolly Parton, and other legendary country crooners including Waylon Jennings.

The Tennessee-born songstress even traded in her sometimes controversial garb for more conservative clothing and Western wear.

Now, it looks like she has given her hit song, “Wrecking Ball,” a makeover, too.

You might remember that “Wrecking Ball’s” shocking music video had the singer holding a sledgehammer, while donning a cut-off white tank top, panties and combat boots. Later on in the sexually explicit visual display, she ditched the clothing entirely and swung across the room on a wrecking ball in her birthday suit.

But when Miley performed that song on Dec. 18, during part one of “The Voice” live finale, it was not how many would have expected her to sing it. This time, the once wild child took a classier approach, and teamed up with her “The Voice” protégé, Brooke Simpson, on the tune. The two dazzled onlookers in shimmery, silver ensembles, while trading lines on the song’s verses. Between Miley’s signature vocals and Brooke’s powerhouse pipes, the performance was nothing short of amazing.

Even though Miley and her final four mentee, Brooke, slayed the hit song, it didn’t help Brooke garner enough votes to win.

Nonetheless, Brooke had an amazing run on the show. During night one of the live finale she delivered a breathtaking vocal performance of the holiday classic, “O Holy Night.” She also stunned with her delivery of her original song, “What Is Beautiful.” Other season highlights for Brooke included solo performances on songs like Demi Lovato’s “Stone Cold,” and Pink’s “What About Us” and, of course, this “Wrecking Ball” performance with her coach that we just can’t stop watching! Check it out for yourself, and let us know what you think.
