Luke Bryan’s VIP pre-show parties have become THE place to be on Luke’s current “Huntin’ Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day Tour.” While he continues work on his upcoming studio album, Luke is using these intimate gatherings to try out new material. He played a brand-new song, “Hooked on It,” at a pre-show jam just last month in New Jersey.

As you can see from this video, Luke hasn’t played the song all that much yet. There’s a few starts and stops, but the lyrics are right down the line for Luke fans. There’s references to plowing fields and fishing and Alan Jackson’s “Chattahoochee” peppered all through the song about things Luke is “hooked on.”

Only time will tell if this song makes the cut for his studio album. It could also wind up on an EP to go along with Luke’s upcoming “Farm Tour.” None of those details have been formally announced yet, but Luke tells us he’s pushing himself to keep growing as an artist.

Luke tells Rare Country, “At the end of the day, the stuff that I can control is trying to sing better, trying to be a better musician, trying to write better songs. We constantly, in the studio, we’re trying new sounds. I’ll continue to do that as long as I’m trying to be seriously active in this business.”

For now, you can just enjoy Luke banging this one out on his guitar for a small group of fans prior to his big arena show.
