It’s good to be Lauren Alaina.

The beautiful and talented Georgia peach just put a bow on the best year of her career so far. Scoring not one, but two No. 1 hits with her own “Road Less Traveled” and then her duet with pal Kane Brown, “What Ifs,” the determined young woman is finally getting the recognition she has worked so hard for. She has also become a role model for young women, empowering them to strongly stay the path and march to the beat of their own drum.

So her New Year’s Eve performance at New York’s Times Square New Year’s Eve seemed like the perfect way to celebrate her best year yet!

Taking the stage before headliner and country music pal Andy Grammer, Lauren peeled off a set that included an amazing cover of Katy Perry’s “Firework” and a solo version of “What Ifs,” as well as her big hit for 2017, “Road Less Traveled.”

Of course, her night was also not complete without a sweet midnight smooch from the man who has been by her side through all of the ups and downs, Alex Hopkins.

We only touched on a few of the things that made 2017 such a banner year for the “American Idol” runner-up who has won so many fans with her amazing songs and warm, welcoming and often zany personality.

Lauren made her debut as a television actress this year, and while playing herself on “Nashville” wasn’t much of a stretch, the role of Charlotte in the TV movie based on her song “Road Less Traveled” did see the entertainer working some different creative muscles.

She also joined Martina McBride early in the year for CMT’s “Next Women of Country Love Unleashed Tour.” She was then part of her Georgia buddy Luke Bryan’s “Huntin’, Fishin’, and Lovin’ Everyday Tour” and also hit the road with The Cadillac Three and Dallas Smith on the “Side Effects Tour.”

Sweet Lauren didn’t waste any time getting dates on the books for 2018 either! A peek at her calendar shows that she’ll be out with Alan Jackson on the “Honky Tonk Highway” Tour in January, then is hitting it hard with Cole Swindell and Chris Janson on the “Reasons to Drink Tour,” which stretches into March.

The talented, young artist has released three singles, including her current hit, “Doin’ Fine,” so far from her 2015 self-titled project, so we’re also expecting that she will be working on new music for a future release as well, but her tour calendar is still in the works, so we’ll wait for an official announcement on that.
