Country stars have learned that if you bring a young fan onstage, you can very easily be giving up the spotlight. We’ve never seen one artist mind it, though. In fact, they seem to have a blast seeing that they often pick someone to join them that has considerable talent. Heck, Kane Brown couldn’t stop smiling when he invited a young girl to join him onstage during his headlining show in Southaven, Mississippi.
A young lady shared a post on her Twitter page and explained, “Yes, my little sister got onstage with Kane Brown!!!! 😭 💗”
She embedded video in the post that shows her 12-year-old sister, and in addition to revealing her sibling’s confidence, enthusiasm, and dance skills, she also showcases the incredible heart, kindness and sweet personality of the country artist.
As part of his set, Kane does a medley of covers that includes Justin Bieber’s “Boyfriend” and The Chainsmokers’ “Closer.” And not only does the young lady onstage with him sing along to the songs that she likely learned from her big sister, she also pops some real swagger into her dance moves.
And you couldn’t pay Kane to wipe that smile off of his face. Eventually, he takes the young lady’s hand and the two swap steps in a dance-off that ends in a big hug.
Lucky little lady! And props to her big sister who seems so proud to brag on her younger sibling.
Kane has had one heck of a year that is ending with his own headlining shows. He also got engaged to his fiancée Katelyn Jae earlier this year, scored his first No. 1 single with “What Ifs” with Lauren Alaina, and then watched that become his first platinum-certified single.
The Georgia boy also earned his first award show nominations at the ACMs for New Male Vocalist and the CMT Awards for Breakthrough Video of the Year.
And, of course, Rare Country readers voted the rising star with the ginormous heart the Duet of the Year winner for “What Ifs” on Dec. 14. Kane even took a quick break from his tour schedule to fly back to Nashville to perform for fans at the Rare Country Awards live concert event.
Kane is taking a short break for the holidays now, but we’ll see him back on the road next month when he joins pal Chris Young for the “Losing Sleep Tour” which kicks off Jan. 11 in Indianapolis and runs all the way into May.
That’ll be a good one to get tickets for!
