Blake Shelton just unleashed a whole lot of sexy with his brand-new love song, “Turnin’ Me On.” He debuted the track with a performance on NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” and that line about, “She gets off on turnin’ me on,” has us all blushing just a little bit.

During Blake’s interview with Seth, he revealed how his girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, realized he’d written “Turnin’ Me On” about her. She was around quite a bit while Blake was recording the album at home in Oklahoma.

Blake says, “She would hear the stuff as it was going down. I remember when I wrote this song, and then recorded it. I was like, ‘Oh, here’s another one. This is another one we did.’ I didn’t want to say. It’s embarrassing! I mean, come on. You don’t want to be like, ‘Hey, I wrote a song about you.’ But I did write a song about her. That’s the truth.”

The line that says “She’s Revlon red in the blackest night” was the one that gave it away since Gwen is a spokesmodel for Revlon cosmetics. Thankfully, Blake says Gwen is a fan of the song.

Seth also brought out a photo of Gwen’s face projected on the side of the Empire State Building as the face of Revlon. Blake joked that writing a song for Gwen was his way of trying to compete with that high-profile appearance.

“How do you top that?” Blake wondered aloud. “You write a song! I wrote a song for her! Take that, whoever the jackass was that put my girlfriend on the Empire State Building. You didn’t write a song for her!”

“Turnin’ Me On” is included on Blake’s new album, “Texoma Shore,” out Nov. 3. The project also includes Blake’s latest hit, “I’ll Name the Dogs.”
