Kelsea Ballerini just returned from tying the knot with her new hubby, Morgan Evans, in a wonderful beachside ceremony in Mexico. She’s now back in her home state of Tennessee for Christmas, and the frigid temperatures are just right for this holiday season.

in the spirit. ❤️

That’s probably what got Kelsea in the mood to perform this simple rendition of the classic Christmas carol, “Silent Night.” Kelsea posted this video on Instagram featuring her singing the song and accompanying herself on guitar. Her gorgeous Christmas tree is lit up in the window behind her, and the performance offers a chance for us to take a break from the holiday rush and remember why we celebrate Christmas in the first place.

Kelsea’s simple caption says it all, “In the spirit.”

This Christmas will mark the one-year anniversary of Morgan popping the question to Kelsea. He asked her to marry him on Christmas morning before they went to her mother’s house to be with family. She, of course, said yes, and the couple plans to continue spending Christmas morning alone together going forward.

Kelsea gave a few bigger holiday performances this year with her recent appearance on “CMA Country Christmas,” which premiered a few weeks ago on ABC. She turned in a classy rendition of “White Christmas.”

Before she sang, Kelsea told host Reba McEntire that she got to open one present on Christmas Eve when she was a kid, and the rest of the presents had to wait until Christmas morning.

Kelsea and Reba also teamed up for a duet performance of “Jingle Bells.”
