Wynonna has been setting the record straight on her mom Naomi Judd’s in interviews.
You may have seen Naomi on ABC’s “Good Morning America” talking about her battle with depression and her estrangement from daughter, Wynonna. Judging from Wy’s banter at a Dec. 14 concert in Nashville, the mother and daughter aren’t estranged at all.
During the show, Wynonna said the media had blown the situation out of proportion, and she went on to recall a recent conversation she had with her mom about that interview.
Wynonna said she asked Naomi, “Why couldn’t you just say you missed me?”
Wy went on to say that no matter what difficulties they may face in their relationship, there’s nothing but love between the two Judd woman.
“She loves me, and I love her. Period. End of story,” Wy added.
Plus, Naomi is just getting cuter and cuter as she gets older.
Says Wy, “She’s got her matching clothes, and she keeps Kleenex in her bra. Just ask her for one next time you see her.”
Wynonna and her band, The Big Noise, were in fine form at their show at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville. On top of holiday classics like “Silent Night” and a hilarious version of “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” with hubby Cactus Moser, Wy treated the audience to a few of her hits, including “No One Else on Earth,” “Why Not Me” and “Grandpa (Tell Me ‘Bout the Good Old Days).” New songs such as “You Make My Heart Beat Too Fast” from her latest album, “Wynonna and the Big Noise,” rounded out the set.
