Jason Aldean may be the Academy of Country Music’s reigning Entertainer of the Year, but that didn’t stop one fan from stealing the spotlight at one of his recent shows.
While performing at the PNC Music Pavilion in Charlotte, North Carolina, on July 13, the 40-year-old hit maker invited four-year-old Baylee Alford up to the stage.

The little girl helped Jason sing his 2010 smash hit, “Dirt Road Anthem.” She proved she was made to be center of attention as she danced along to the song and high-fived as many audience members as she could.
Baylee’s mom, Amber, who cheered her child on from the crowd, recorded the entire moment. She then posted the clip to her personal Facebook page, along with a sweet note.
“I almost lost [my] contacts from tearing up when Jason Aldean pulled Baylee up on stage with him last night,” she wrote. “We were getting stopped all the way to the car with people wanting to take pictures or high-five and tell her how good she did. She makes everyone happy around her, and that makes my heart smile.”
For Amber, seeing her child go through these new experiences is extra special because her daughter nearly lost her life. According to WPDE, in 2016, Baylee was involved in a horrific lawn mower accident, which took her right arm from the elbow down. She has since been recovering.
Jason is currently headlining his “They Don’t Know Tour.” His next stops include St. Louis on July 21, and Cincinnati on July 22. Supporting acts for the tour include Chris Young, Kane Brown and Dee Jay Silver.
