Like most country music stars, Carrie Underwood has never strayed from showing off her most authentic self. And it looks like that authentic self has always had a bit of love for a certain Mr. George Michael.

We mean, who doesn’t love a little “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go?”

Underwood belted this and a number of her biggest hits, including “Jesus, Take the Wheel” and “Before He Cheats,” during an installment of “Carpool Karaoke” on “The Late Late Show with James Corden” on CBS. The two not only cruised around Los Angeles in a hysterical sing along, but also made a stop along the way to purchase some country attire. “The boots are our roots,” Underwood says in the store, shortly before having to help Corden take off the boots at the end of the shopping trip.

And when they weren’t singing or shopping, they were doing much conversing — including a revealing conversation about Underwood’s hockey playing husband Mike Fisher.

“I don’t watch it very often,” Corden told Underwood. “But what I’ve seen is essentially men skating around on very sharp blades, and then having a fight.”

“Yup,” Underwood responded. “Did you see his latest fight? He knocked a guy’s tooth out. Yeah, it was pretty hot.”
