As Blake Shelton was smack dab in the middle of a chaotic promotional period for his new album “Texoma Shore,” he got a piece of news that rocked his world.
Or at least rocked his lake house.
“I just got a phone call, somebody drove their truck through the front of my lake house,” Blake said during an interview on “Live with Kelly and Ryan” on Nov. 3.
And now we have all the details as to what the heck happened.
Conflicting local TV reports say the accident happened on either Nov. 2 or Nov. 3 at Blake’s Oklahoma lake house, when a worker crashed his truck into the front of the home. “I heard a loud crash and all of a sudden I turn around, the truck was going through the gate,” Marshall Country water company employee and witness to the accident Eric Bridgman said in an interview with KXII-TV. “We made an effort to confront the driver but he was alright, just shook up.”
According to news reports, the pool and landscaping company truck’s driver, who was on the property to do some work at Blake’s home, attempted to get into the truck before it crashed, but could not. The accident caused damage to the front of the house, including a broken window. “Accidents happen. It had to be his, but it could’ve been any one [of] us it could have happened to,” Eric concluded.
