Even though Kelly Clarkson embodies a strong and independent woman, she still loves the attention that she gets from her husband, Brandon Blackstock.

The 35-year-old pop superstar recently opened up about how her spouse’s affectionate words and actions helped inspire the new music on her upcoming album, “The Meaning Of Life,” due out Oct. 27.

“He makes me feel so sexy,” Kelly told “Entertainment Tonight” of Brandon. “I already am a confident woman – I don’t think that’s a secret. But I love being with somebody who is unafraid of making you feel sexy.

“I always make fun of him, like, ‘Why are you touching my behind in public?’” she continued. “He’ll like, goose me or something, somewhere, and I’m like, ‘What are you doing?’ But I really like it.”

As for the album’s title, Kelly said that it’s a reflection of her whole family, which includes her children, Remy Alexander, 1, River Rose, 3, and step-kids Seth, 10, and Savannah, 16.

“This record is very much 100 percent my personality. It’s got some stank,” the “Love So Soft” singer explained, adding that the “meaning of life” in her words is, “so simple for me.

“Anytime our 16-year-old asks me life questions, it’s always like, ‘Just calm down and don’t take it all to heart,’” she said of her response. “You’ve got to be easier about life. You cannot control people. You can’t control what they’re going to say. You can’t control them being mean. So, let it go, live your life and do what you feel is right.

“Once I turned 30, my shoulders relaxed. Everything was like, ‘OK, we can’t be all things to all people all the time,'” she added, before confirming that she and Brandon’s have completed their family. “We’ve got four children,” she said. “I think we’re solid. We’re a band.”
