Back in 2014, Kid Rock got to do what every guy on this side of the dirt has always wanted to do – steal a hug and plant a kiss on Stevie Nicks.

Fleetwood Mac was playing the Auburn Palace in Detroit when Stevie dedicated the song “Landslide” to her Motor City native Kid Rock, who was watching from the side of the stage. While that may have looked like just a little recognition from one rock star to another, the two have actually been pretty good friends for the last 15 years.

As the song came to a close, Kid came up behind Stevie unbeknownst to her and wrapped his arms around her midsection, startling her for a moment. When she realized whom it was, she just wrapped her arms around him, closed her eyes and finished belting out the song.

You’d think he would be the one who got the better end of the deal, but it was actually Stevie who was left speechless for quite a few moments, left to only mutter the word “wow” while she was still trying to regain her composure.
