RARE COUNTRY AWARDS: Watch the recap of this year's award winners and live performances by Kane Brown, LANCO & RaeLynn

It’s Cuffing Season — the prime time of the year for young men and women to either find a good hookup or a solid husband/wife, but one couple who just tied the knot on Nov. 10 is asking, “What’s your hurry?” This young-at-heart husband and wife exchanged their vows at the tender ages of 95 and 80, respectively.

The Today Show” shared the precious story of Maria Teresa Cobar and Carlos Suarez who lived across the hall from one another in a Miami nursing home. Maria moved to the United States from Guatemala when she was 27 as a single mother, and Carlos migrated from Cuba 56 years ago with his wife and son. His wife passed away 10 years ago and Carlos never remarried. Maria? She had never been married.

And, it was love at first sight. When Carlos saw his lovely future bride the first time, he told his attendant, “Not bad… I’m not letting her get away.”

So, was it worth the wait for the precious pair of seniors? Sure looks like it! The couple exchanged “I do’s” at the nursing home with family, friends and staff in attendance. Maria was beaming and as beautiful as a bride a quarter her age in a stunning champagne-colored sparkling gown and blush-length veil. The handsome groom wore a traditional Cuban white guayabera, or wedding shirt. Vows were exchanged seated as Carlos’ arthritis has him in a wheelchair; however, he ditched his wheels when a mariachi band showed up for a little reception entertainment.

“Today” reports that Maria now thanks God for love with someone worth waiting for.

And that’s all any of us can hope for, regardless of age.
