There will always be the memories of the days when Craig Strickland was on top of the world – living and loving with the drive and abundance that every young man should.

And with time, love and faith, these memories hopefully will help erase the lasting memory of the Backroad Anthem lead singer being found dead on a hill by Kaw Lake, just north of where his capsized boat had been found.

But one of the dearest memories that Strickland’s wife is currently holding onto is a video that he made for her on their wedding day. The video was recently shared on her Instagram.

On the day of our wedding Craig had me watch a video he had made to tell me how much he loved me. I am so thankful for technology in this moment because I will always have this. I watched this privately prior to walking down the aisle, and so now I want to share this small excerpt with all of you. Thank you @stylistmeganfarmer for helping him make this. I will cherish it for ever. "Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints. Psalms 116:15" Thank you Lord for sharing #craigstrickland with me. You allowed me to borrow him on this earth, but he was always Yours. I will forever cherish our year of marriage. This was truly the type of man you were and will always be remembered as. I love you Craig Michael.

“I am so thankful for technology in this moment because I will always have this,” Helen said in a Jan. 4 Instagram post. “I watched this privately prior to walking down the aisle, and so now I want to share this small excerpt with all of you. I will cherish it for ever.”

And when memories fail to fill in the sorrowful days ahead, it looks like Helen will lean on her faith.
“Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints. Psalms 116:15,” she wrote. “Thank you Lord for sharing #craigstrickland with me. You allowed me to borrow him on this earth, but he was always Yours. I will forever cherish our year of marriage. This was truly the type of man you were and will always be remembered as. I love you Craig Michael.”
