Wow! It’s hard to believe we’ve just wrapped up the first full week of 2017 and already so much has happened. In this week’s edition of Rare Country’s 5, Erin Holt recaps the five biggest stories of the past week. And the best news is, it’s all happy, good and upbeat news, which makes it quite the way to kick off the new year.

Our list starts off with a passionate kiss from one of our favorite couples. Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani shared a sweet midnight kiss on New Year’s Eve, and we’ve got it in this Rare Country’s 5 video!

Baby, baby, baby! Our No. 4 story is about baby No. 3 on the way for handsome Lee Brice and his beautiful wife, Sara. This super sweet couple already have two little boys in their family — 8-year-old Takoda and 6-year-old Ryker — so could their third little blessing be a girl? Erin has more details for you!

What could be sweeter than having Luke Bryan sing “Happy Birthday” to you? Being Luke’s wife and having him, plus a theater full of fans, sing to you that’s what! That’s what happened when Caroline Bryan celebrated her birthday with her handsome hubs and BFF in Vegas. It was beyond sweet, and it’s our No. 3 story in this week’s Rare Country’s 5.

You could hear hearts cracking around the world when news began leaking that country hunk Sam Hunt might be engaged. When it was confirmed that he had popped the question to his girlfriend, Hannah, the struggle was real. Not a lot has been said nor have photos been shared of the big news, but we have details in our No. 2 story in this week’s Rare Country’s 5.

Here comes the bride, and here comes our No. 1 story. It was a roller coaster year for Dale Earnhardt Jr. when it came to the racetrack, but he finished 2016 strong with a major victory — he tied the knot with lovely Amy Reimann on New Year’s Eve. The guest list was a who’s who of NASCAR celebs, and Erin has more details in Rare Country’s 5.

That’s it for this week’s recap of Rare Country’s Top 5 news stories of the past week! Be sure to check back in for more news, more fun and more video with Erin as we look forward to another great year of country music, the artists that make it and the people that love it!
