RaeLynn just dropped the video for her new single, “Lonely Call.” The song tells the story of a girl finding the strength to tell her ex-boyfriend to stop calling her late at night.

Of course, RaeLynn got her start as a member of Team Blake on “The Voice,” and he’s been a big fan of “Lonely Call” ever since Rae wrote it a few years back.

“I think he just saw the potential in it,” RaeLynn tells Rare Country. “He called it. It’s just crazy. I wrote the song when I was 19. It finally goes on my record and now it’s my single. He just keeps saying, ‘I told you so, I told you so.’ He really did tell me so.”

In the video, RaeLynn plays the best friend to the girl going through the breakup. That role includes scenes of Rae eating ice cream with her friend and also literally taking the phone out of the girl’s hands when the ex-boyfriend is calling.

RaeLynn says of the song, “It’s such a relatable subject for every girl that can feel like they don’t want to be somebody’s lonely call.”

“Lonely Call” is included on RaeLynn’s album, “Wildhorse,” available now.
